An Energy Efficiency Approach for the Mining Industry
Diesel is a significant energy source for the mining industry. It is used for material transport such as the hauling of ore and overburden and for process heating. Mobile (hauling trucks, loader,..) and heat generating equipment constitute the key activities to Decarbonize the operations using Energy Conservation Measure ECM and to achieve short term results.
In the discussed case, the ECMs list represent 85% reduction of the fix equipment GHG emission and 4% of the mobile fleet emission.
The Effective Decarbonization audit is an analysis performed by experts evaluating your organization’s direct emissions from sources owned and controlled. The Decarbonization audit identifies the opportunities which will have significant impact to the site decarbonization and a Roadmap to implement it including governance requirement to reach and maintain sustainable goals.
