WEEK 0
Where Do We Start?
Whether you are an organization with one or multiple sites of operation, the energy maturity assessment (Remote Energy Audit) stage allows a high-level look at the scope 1 and 2 energy reduction opportunity and the impact it can play on the NetZero roadmap. Among other things, this first approach allows to pre-qualify more than 300 ecotechnologies, their energy and CO2 reduction and it will also help to identify sites with high potential. No site visit involved. 2-4 hr support from site people
WEEK 1
Energy Audits
We can start the journey with a full RoadMap to NetZero decarbonization including current carbon Footprint Assessment, Emission Reduction Targets, technology and Process Analysis, MACC (Marginal Abatement Curve Cost), Investment and Funding Strategy, Risk management, etc. Or we can initiate the process with the STEP-1 of the Path to NetZero which focuses mostly on the Pillar 1 (Energy Efficiency). Depending on the size of the organization, we can do Energy Maturity Assessment (EMA) Remotely or onsite Energy’s Audit. The objective of the EMA is to identify high potential sites for onsite energy audit. The objectives of the onsite energy audit are to identify energy opportunities for scope 1 & 2 with good payback and short to midterms energy savings and CO2 reduction.
WEEK 2
Deep Dive Audit
The walkthrough energy audit is conducted to get a clearer picture and where a more detailed analysis is required to identify substantial energy-saving opportunities. This type of audit provides business managers with a clear roadmap for making informed decisions about decarbonization and improving energy efficiency. 1-2 days site visit. 1-3 days support from site people if escort is required full time during the visit
WEEK 8
Project Implementation
During the implementation phase, Opnor can support the site with all the activities required for the energy projects implementation (design, details engineering, bids and tendering, project management and supervision, commissioning, and start-up). Opnor could partners with external firm for projects execution, but he will remain responsible of the design, specification, and the scope of work until the start-up and the results are obtained.
WEEK 10
Scope 1 & 2 Energy Efficiency
These initials steps should reduce GHG emission in the range of 15 to 20%. The recommended scope-1 is focused on process optimization and is using different control blocs (chillers, boilers, compressors, HVAC, process heating, pumps, fans) that are based on proven algorithms and that can be implemented with existing control systems.
MONTH 6
Electrification
By transitioning key processes and operations to electric-powered alternatives, organizations reduce reliance on fossil fuels and pave the way for cleaner, more sustainable energy sources. Electrification initiatives play a crucial role in decarbonizing operations and driving long-term environmental sustainability.
