Compressed Air Systems
Leaks, over-pressurization, and demand-side sprawl make compressed air the highest-ROI fix in most industrial plants. Our package handles the full system — supply-side efficiency, leak elimination, and demand-side controls.
- Compressor sequencing + load management (master controller across multi-compressor systems, eliminates inefficient simultaneous part-load operation)
- Leak survey + tagged repair (ultrasonic detection, prioritized by $/cfm)
- Demand-side controls (zone shut-offs, pressure reduction, usage-based scheduling)
- Multi-pressure system design — separate high/low-pressure loops where warranted
- Heat recovery from compressor waste heat (space heating or process pre-heat)
- VFD retrofit on compressor primary drive (where load varies)
- Inlet air temperature management and filtration tuning
Motors, Pumps & Drives
The single deepest ECM category in the Opnor library. Pumps, fans, and blowers that run at constant speed against throttled demand are leaving 20–40% on the table. VFD retrofits pay back in 12–24 months on most loads above 7.5 kW.

- Motor right-sizing — replacing oversized motors on partial-load applications
- IE3 → IE4 efficiency-class upgrades on replacement candidates

Heat Recovery & Steam Systems
Steam traps, dryer exhausts, boiler stacks, and process-to-process heat exchange are where thermal audits find the largest $ opportunities. Implementation scope varies the most across the three packages — from $20K steam-trap programs to $500K heat-exchanger installations.

- Economizers on boiler stacks (pre-heating combustion air or feedwater)
